UQMS Presents: First Year End of Year BBQ

Picture this, you’ve just “passed” your ethics exam, finished your first year of med with more ups and down than a roller coaster at movie world. It’s 2pm, cold beer/wine/non-alcoholic beverage in hand and you think to yourself 

“Gee I could really do with UQMS’ first f2f social event since med camp” and “Damn, this Hawaiian shirt does look good on me” 

For once your first year rep isn’t asking you to fill out another survey … we’re happy to announce FYEOYBBQ (for those who haven’t developed the crucial skill in medicine of working out acronyms mid-CBL) 

– First Year End of Year BBQ 

The Figs on Sylvan club is a 10 minute walk from Toowong Village (and a 6 minute walk to the Regatta o.O) 

You can expect an afternoon of drinks, tunes, socializing and not studying (use of Anki during the event will result in being immediately kicked out of the venue). If you didn’t get this already the theme is Hawaiian shirts where extra points for coolness will be awarded for rocking up to ethics in your kit. 

Your ticket will get you entry and includes a burger, salad, and a non-alcoholic drink. There will be alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverage options to quench your thirst which are available from the bar.
