Hello friends! Like many of you, I was deeply saddened by the announcement that the Eurovision Song Contest 2020 in Rotterdam was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This was worsened by the EBU announcing that the 2020 songs were not eligible to compete due to old, pre-global disaster rules.
Therefore, the original plan of everyone coming to my house to celebrate all things Eurovision has to be reimagined. Instead, please join me celebrating the incredible talent of the artists already selected for ESC 2020 on a LIVE RADIO BROADCAST social distancing *style*.
There will be banter (in the form of a text line), there will be useless Eurovision trivia and facts (provided by me, because I did an entire subject on this contest in my undergrad degree) and there will be a WINNER! There will be live voting via a google form (posted closer to the date) so you can score the songs as you listen along and we will decide which song was the best and deserved to win!
Who: Open to all with an internet connection.
What: Eurovision but make it socially distanced
