Prof Kumar is a MFM subspecialist works at the Mater Mothers’ Hospital and Mater Research Institute-University of Queensland. His area of research interests is in fetal imaging, placental biomarkers and the prediction of adverse perinatal outcomes. His team works on the development of techniques for better prediction of adverse pregnancy outcomes. He has written a popular Fetal Medicine Handbook and has over 110 publications. In the United Kingdom (UK) he supervised to completion five PhD and 22 Masters Students.
